Under 8 County Cup

At the other end of the age scale, our 8&Under teams were competing in their first county competitions at Gosling, Hertfordshire. Due to the strength and depth of our 8&Under county training programme, we were able to field two teams in each event. Both teams were competing in groups of 5 against 2 teams from Hertfordshire and 1 from Bedfordshire, playing 8 singles and 2 doubles rubbers in each match. Hertfordshire would prove to be too strong across both events, but our girls A team and boys B team both finished 3rd. A great atmosphere to introduce our younger players to county tennis and we hope this experience helps them in their developing tennis careers!
