The girls were playing at Halton in Division 1A, where a win would qualify them for nationals, but the standard was very high. The girls got off to a great start against Hertfordshire, with Papaya and Charlotte both coming through match tiebreaks to make the score 2-2 after the singles. All to play for in the doubles, but it was not to be, Papaya and Tessa losing 6-10 in their match tiebreak and a 2-4 loss overall. Onto Hampshire & IOW, with the singles rubbers split again after convincing performances from Papaya and Charlotte, plus a tight loss for Isabella. This time the doubles would go better, with Molly and Charlotte pairing up to win and send us to a tiebreak shootout, which Bucks would win!
The girls would play for 3rd place on Sunday, against a strong Kent side. Charlotte continued her great singles form, but the match tiebreaks did not go our way, Papaya losing out 3-10 and Molly 11-13. A 5-1 loss overall, but the girls showed great team spirit over the weekend.
Team: Isabella Buhrkohl, Molly Dallas, Charlotte Dobby, Papaya Douvall, Tessa Reid
Coaches: Jemima King and Alexa Wilson
Results: 2-4 Hertfordshire, 3-3 Hampshire & IOW, 1-5 Kent
