Under 14 Boys County Cup

Over the May bank holiday, our 14&Under teams were competing in their county cup event, a really busy weekend for Bucks County Tennis! Our boys team were in Division 2E in Oxford, which unfortunately meant they couldn’t qualify for national finals, but they still had a really tough group. First up were Hertfordshire and despite Oliver getting a win at number 1 singles, the match tiebreaks would not go our way, with one singles and two doubles lost to them. This showed the high level of the team, but they just couldn’t get over the line in the big moments. The team bounced back against Suffolk, with Daniel winning his match tiebreak and Oliver winning again. Armaan and Oliver delivered a doubles rubber meaning 3-3 and then the team won the shootout to make the 3^rd/4^th place playoff.

Looking to end on a high, Ethan, Daniel and Oliver all claimed wins, before Luca made his county debut in the doubles, partnering Daniel and getting the win. A 5-1 finish meant third place and the weekend was a good experience for the boys.
