Under 10 Girls County Cup

The 10&Under teams both competed locally in May with their regional qualifying groups putting the girls in Abingdon and the boys down the road at Great Missenden. The girls had three debutant players and a very difficult group including Herts and Surrey. Against high level opposition they would have to perform at their best. Sofia H had a narrow loss in her first singles, while Sofia C produced the performance of the day to win 4-3 4-1 at number 1. This would prove to be our only win on day 1, with two doubles losses followed by the match against Surrey, who only lost one rubber the entire weekend.

Sunday saw a change in the team and this led to a 3-1 lead after the singles against Oxfordshire, with wins for both Sofias and Olivia. The doubles was impressive with two games dropped, meaning a creditable 3^rd place finish in a strong group.
