Thanks to everyone who attended our combined AGM and Forum event in February, it was great to see so many faces present at an important moment in our history. Following our EGM at the start of the year, we are now in the process of becoming a Charitable Organisation and we were updated on the progress at the start of the meeting. Our application has been made to the Charities Commission and we will be able to update further, once their decision has been made.
The AGM was hosted by Rosemary Badman, the final role of her Presidency, in which she has made an enormous impact on tennis in our county. Thank you Rosemary!
We are pleased to welcome Jill Newby as our new President, along with our new secretaries Ken Shaw and Izzy Marshall. There were also four new Vice Presidents elected: Sue Bartlett, Graham Tallyn, Andy Giles and Mary Crowshaw (all pictured with our Chairman Stephen Biggs), who have all contributed (and still do) a huge amount to Bucks Tennis.
The evening finished with LTA Councillor John Doe presenting on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We would like to thank everyone for attending and Aylesbury Rugby Club for hosting the event.
Congratulations must go to all of our award winners and county colour recipients, including our LTA Tennis Award winners, who you can find in their own blog post.
