A fantastic weekend for the 12&U Boys who came together as a group of players somewhat unfamiliar with each other but left as a well bonded team. On paper Bucks were strong going into the event, but as we know matches aren’t played on paper and the boys showed super professionalism, work ethic and respect for their opponents in all situations throughout the weekend. To finish with a 17-1 match record was outstanding by any stretch, and the future of Bucks tennis looks very strong with this particular cohort coming through. The boys were a delight to captain and their parents hugely supportive of the culture we are trying to create through our values of teamwork, humility and resilience.

Oxford Sports was a good venue with excellent referee, catering and viewing.

Both Mohan and Nicholas will be returning to the 12’s next year and the 14’s will no doubt benefit from Harry, Murray and Kyle moving up.

Sadly, there was no opportunity this year to progress into a ‘Finals’ as this team would have been hugely competitive against the very strongest counties in the country.
